FITMOM combines technical with lifestyle counseling skills to format a unique program that allows moms to involve their children in their fitness activities while simultaneously enhancing the social and physical development of their child. Mission to Haiti Canada was formed in 1997 and is administered by a board of directors currently comprised of volunteers. Mission teams are an important avenue for people to share their gifts and talents. We presently arrange for teams engaging in medical/dental care and construction projects. In the future, there may be opportunities in other areas including vocation bible schools and food relief. The sponsorship program is vital in providing education, food and clothing to the needy children of Haiti.

The South Leaside Monday Group (SLMG) is a non-profit community parent group that began in 1972. We welcome new parents and their babies, non-so-new parents and their toddlers and "veterans" with school aged children, to enjoy a chat and a cup of coffee while the little ones have fun under the watchful eyes of dedicated caregivers. Meetings are Monday morning, September to June with the exception of the holidays. Please join us for coffee at 9:15 am. Speakers at 10:00 to 11:00.
