Bath time is a fun time as children get older, but for babies it's relatively short and sweet. A baby's skin has beautifully perfect p.h. balance that does not need "scrubbing" clean. Before you prepare to bathe your munchkin, figure out the optimum bathing place. If you have a large bathroom with plenty of counter space that is ideal, otherwise opt for the kitchen which usually provides perfect hip height counters and the sink is readily available.

-Make sure you spread out towels and prepare the water in your tub before you strip the baby as the babies get cold very fast, so keep them in the water for a short time, before wrapping them up and gently rubbing them dry.

- Purchase small baby bathtubs that will fit on the counter and several hooded towels (remember, the majority of our heat is lost from out heads so cover babies head first when you take them out of the water.)

- You do not need lots of lotions and potions for your baby's skin as powders and heavy creams will clog their pores.

- Remember it is a fabulous bonding experience to bath with your child but it is preferable to have your partner present so you can pass the baby safely to them when exiting a slippery bathtub.
